Swan love

Swans are an enduring passion of mine. I would love to have a pair here in our development swimming on the little lake.  I used to have swans to play with and when it snowed they looked so pretty swimming and flapping about the pond. Maybe someday I will go to the association meeting and run this by them and offer to care for them.

In the meantime I will have to make due with pretty images like these from tumblr. Perhaps Santa will bring a pair to my house? Santa loves all animals.

Je t'aime part deux!

The above images are all little loves of mine. I love white animals and that ring. I am trying to figure out where I got the ring picture. Some tumblr I am sure. Does anyone know who makes that ring?

Happy dreams for 2011

Fete? Party for the new year? Not me-- just going to relax, look at photos, drink a glass of champagne with Pink Boy and reflect upon the past year and turn towards the future.

White Cat, my friend and neighbor, looks pensive doesn't she? Even cats look inward and relax before beginning the new year.

Pink dreams filling my head with happy thoughts.

Snow and Zen

I love the simplicity of Asian design. I love to mix my pink, French and gilded things with Asian elements.

This is the new fish pond and the gong is on a wooden stand--very Asian in feel. There are three fat goldfish sleeping away the winter in there. When the snow hit a few days ago I was glad to get this shot. Snow always makes things look pretty and peaceful-and I think it has enhanced the serene feel of the pond.

Another bitterly cold day--why am I not in Paris?

Since we are having such bitterly cold days here in Georgia I am leaving the snow on the blog! It could snow here right now.

So since I can't escape it I am looking at my photos of Paris. It is probably just as cold in Paris now but at least there you have many diversions and such beautiful art and buildings to look at. On one trip the museum had an elephant statue out front- I loved it. And here is my favorite bridge again different view. I love those lamp posts--they always cheer me up.

Now I will snuggle under my duvet and dream the night away.
