I love seeing white in clothing especially in haute couture! The last dress-- a period recreation --in paper by Isabella Borchgrave! Amazing.! Even though this is White Wednesday

No place like home--if it is white

 I am on a self-imposed plan to lighten up! No not my mood --my home. I want to repaint and use pale pale pink and whites and generally lighten the rooms . Maybe slipcover some sofas that are in taupe with a white washable slipcover but choosing a  fabric that is a bit formal too.

The above rooms all caught my eye-- I keep showing the photos to Pink Boy hoping he will jump on board my lighten up train. Even our birdhouse in the garden is white and has white clematis blooming around it. The birds are on board!!

I will keep you updated and show before and after photos if I ever get to redo the living room and hallways.I am obsessed with white! I love white furniture, white animals, white food (mainly white desserts) white flowers and white table linens

Today I realized I had saved so many white images related to couture. Enough for a pretty post! That last image of the huge ruffle and detailed top is so amazing It really is sculpture in soft form. I would love to be a little bee in the workroom watching the seamstresses create clothing like that. Couture is truly amazing and it is on my to do list to attend a fashion show in Paris sometime.

Rococo White Wednesday

The rococo period is lush and full of rocks, shells, arabesques and curves of all sorts. It is bringing elements of nature into decoration/ ornamentation. The French were masters at it and the Italians. 

Everyone needs a little lushness in their life.

It was so fragrant and lasted over a week
Then it dried to this that we can use as a centerpiece

Baby Lyla and White Wednesday

Snowflake is two but sitll my baby

Welcome to two new "babies' dressed in white. Baby Lyla Sage is my niece's new born and Snowflake with her all white fur is my new addition. Both are beautiful!
