Just a few shots of the tour gardens yesterday. We go every year to the Atlanta Botanical Garden's Gardens for Connoisseurs tour it never disappoints. Always some show stoppers and various sizes of gardens. They were all so lovely this year hard to choose a favorite.

Spring tour time Madison Ga

Madison, Georgia had the annual spring tour last weekend. It is wonderful old period homes restored and wonderful gardens. It is just fun to visit Madison anytime and walk the streets in the historic area. The town square is so charming and there are some nice restaurants and shops to visit too. I've done posts about Madison before.
This is just one large garden that was on the tour. I will share more photos tomorrow.

Well the first rush of blooms finished last week and we are having a long dry heat wave over 100 most days. It is time to fill in the beds with some more color to take us through the fall. It helps to have a pretty trowel and wooden tote to carry the plants.

I found the woven tote at Target for 1.00 added my own ribbon and a silk peony and now it will be my tote to carry on garden tours. Making my garden pinker is so delightful.

Artichokes

I love to eat them and I have always wanted to grow them. Does anyone have any experience growing them? I saw them on my recent garden tour they sure are a statement plant! Do they just produce one per plant? I do like the coloration of them also sort of Pink and green!!

A few more delightful shots of Susanne Hudson's Douglasville garden from the tour. Such a whimsical , witty use of old gardening implements. I am going to be doing some serious trash stalking now to find some of these things for my own garden to make into something! That is the great thing about a tour--you always get some good ideas.

Paths..

Another pretty path to show you--also taken on a garden tour last spring. I love the linear quality to it with the tall foxgloves.

I am thinking a lot about paths the last few days-- am I on the right path in life? A friend is struggling with a spiritual path issue, another with career path questions.

I will continue on my "pink path" as it brings me happiness and seems to work for me. I think the path most of us end up on is one we were meant to be on. Wanting to radically switch paths often just doesn't fit for many people.

I look forward to several garden tours this spring and what a pleasure it will be to follow those paths.
