Cherry Blossom Time is here
My oh my it is a glorious time of year now. The cherry blossoms are blooming. Such a short period of bliss but always worth the wait.

Happy Pink Saturday!

I can't wait to see the blooms each year. My tree is in full bloom as Monday. It just burst open. I must get to Japan someday soon it would be fun to go at sakura viewing time. They even make desserts with cherry blossoms how cool is that? I am obsessed with cherry blossoms in any form in any location. Would love to see them in Washinton, D.C. too.
I hope you have some to look at they are such a delight. Many of them are Yoshino cherry trees such a light pink they almost look white.
The silence of the cherry blossom slowly opening to reveal joy.
Happy Pink Saturday!

Valentine's Day tete a tete tablescape

I set the table up near our cherry blossom scroll in a cozy corner
Pink Boy enjoys chocolates and he is very cool about all my pinkness

Bows and pink hearts c'est chic non?

Chocolate covered berries dipped in pink "pearls"

These pink bow place mats were purchased in Vienna years ago. They are my favorite ones

Cherry blossoms seem to go well with Valentine's Day and pink champagne!

Happy Tablescape Thursday !

Show and Tell Friday at My Romantic Home

We have been married for over 30 years and we still have date nights! I love to use my pretty place mats and have a little lunch or a treat and surprise Pink Boy.

The plates are a rare Williams Sonoma find. The dinnerware company usually does not make pink plates I think it is Aplico.

I love champagne and I've had these Perrier Jouet glasses forever. They are on the small side but so charming.

We usually have a pink champagne , bien sur, and since chocolate pairs so well with champagne this was a quick romantic treat. I just melted the chocolate over a very, very low heat and then dipped the berries in the pink pearls for extra pinkness--pearls go with everything right?

Have a romantic PINK day!

Japanese vases with cherry blossoms

My Pink in Laws got me these two old Japanese vases from the estate of a man who lived in Japan and sold antiques. They were a surprise present! I love the motif on them and there is some pink in it also!

So here is my little scene- my new/old vases with cherry blossoms next to my cherry blossom scroll in my front sitting room off the dining room. I think they look right at home amid all my pink things!

Have a PINK day!

Macon Cherry Blossom Festival

We went to Macon today and were so disappointed none of 300,000 cherry trees were in bloom! The only cherry blossoms we saw were these in vases and in arrangements on mail boxes etc all fake. It is due to the very cold spring we are having. Today was 70 degrees but next few days will be chilly so no blooms till mid week at the earliest.
Macon has some wonderful old homes and it is a very PINK city I think I could live there. It does move at a slower small towm pace.

But we enjoyed all the people and dogs in pink, the pink city trash cans( I wonder if I could buy one?) and the pink lines down the streets leading to the festival site
Have a PINK day!
