I am already buying more Christmas decorations and of course they are pink. I have a few pink things to share with you as we get closer to the holidays. These pink birds caught my eye and I set them out to enjoy before I put up the trees.

If you are a long time reader of my blog you know how pink it gets at our house for Christmas. It will be ever pinker this year! Some big and some small things pink coming our way. I can't wait to show you. Pink Boy has been so busy helping me with my pink projects. I have the ideas and he has the muscle and skills to execute them.

The roses are from Costco they have the best roses always so fresh, inexpensive and you get 18 usually instead of 12. They usually last a week!

Have a Pink day!

Meet Chanel our new pink bird!

Cici finally has a companion again. Meet Chanel our new Rosey Bourke parakeet. Chanel is the one closer to the top of the photo she is a little bit brighter pink than Cici.

She is from a bird breeder in San Diego. Chanel and Cici seem to be getting alone so well. These cute pink birds live about 10-15 years. My first one lived 12 years. They chrip in am and early evening. Very sweet little sounds.

They are quiet and happy birds. I need birds (and other animals too) in my life to be happy.

Have a PINK day!

The festive birds are here !!

Those pretty little hand dyed birds I mentioned the other day arrived today in the mail. Perfect little bits of happiness with their pearls and sweet ribbon banner. I am waiting on some ribbon and a few other bits and pieces and then voila I will have my materials to create something special for my best friends.

Of course I chose pink ones they are actually a softer pink than the photo captures. Thank you Joy for sending them so quickly and with such a nice little extra --a pretty rose pin for me!!

I just don't know if I can wait till Valentine's Day to give my gifts.

Pink birds

They are not exactly a partridge in a pear tree but my two Bourke's parakeets are pink--one of the few naturally pink birds . The were born here but at some point the original breeding pair came from Australia- they are grassland birds- so they feed on the ground mainly. I have to put their seed and water on the floor of their PAGODA style birdcage. I couldn't believe I found a pagoda shaped cage.

Something about pagodas and cabbages and pink peonies and Laduree pink boxes are very appealing to me. Over the years I have collected many items that fall into my" obsession" category--this birdcage is one.

I hope Kitty and Cici are happy they seem to be. Bourke's parakeets are also fairly quiet birds no scratchy noises just sweet chirps and they love to dance for my cat and they love the noise the hoover makes and the sound of running water. Kitty was here before we got our cat. The neighbor kids think it is funny that we have a bird named Kitty and a cat named Charlotte Moss. ( after the wonderful interior designer) and Kitty was named after a Tolstoy character in Anna Karennia.

So no partridge in a pear tree at my pink house but
pink birds -- I've got them.
