Cute pink and green teacup for a working tea break at my desk
Yummy French tea and some chocolate cookies
A desktop full of memories and useful yet pretty objects
My workspace in a corner of our formal living room

And Artful Affirmations Tea Cup Tuesday

I spend a lot of time working on my blog and job hunting on my computer . I take the occassional tea break and I think it should still be nice even if I am having tea by myself. Each item on my desk holds happy memories.
Life is way too short to rush through tea time or make it mundane or have tea in paper cups. Quelles horreurs! Use your pretty things, enjoy the memories they bring, refresh yourself so you can be the best and most productive you!
This little tea cup spoke to me when I was at the Atlanta Symphony Showhouse's boutique. Tres charmant! The round silverplate tray from a local antiques shop. The chinoiserie black secretary was a birthday gift a few years ago from Pink Boy. I use it a lot.
Have a Pink day!

Lovely!!! and I agree 100 percent!! I actually do this at my office at work!!! Just makes my day so much sweeter and comfy...like home.
ReplyDeleteI think, Tea time at work is a gentle reminder to slow down and enjoy what your doing instead of rushing to some unknown end. In fact the tea set I am sharing today was the one I had at work to share tea with a student or two and other teachers who stopped by my office.
ReplyDeleteYour teacup is beautiful and so is your desk. Thank you so much for sharing them with us today.
Hugs,
Penny
Marie, you have a beautiful blog!
ReplyDeleteI find your tea time just lovely. I totally agree with you about making it special. I set myself a pretty tea tray each day...and it really does bring a sense of beauty and delight to my day.
Your tea cup and saucer are really gorgeous. Who is the maker of your cup?
Hugs,
Terri
Good day, Marie,
ReplyDeleteThe photos on your blog are wonderful. The teacup is lovely. I like the colors, and especially the framed floral design. How nice that you enjoy a quiet, non-hurried cup of tea while you work - tray and all...what a special reminder to us all to slow down to enjoy precious moments of life.
May many blessings overtake you,
Marianne

ReplyDeleteI will come back to see your Asian post tomorrow! Thanks for visiting me, and nice to meet you!
Of course, there is no reason not to have a nice tea even if it is just for oneself! I do -- always brewed in a pot and with a nosh! You have a very pretty desk -- it makes for a nice workspace!
ReplyDeleteYour secretary is the most beautiful one I have ever seen! LOVE IT!!! and you post is wonderful...
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week,
Donna
Love your teacup! Having tea is such a wonderfully civil event. It should happen more than just occasionally. You have certainly mastered the art!
