Pink bubble gum tree

Well even though I've been very ill with the flu since coming home from CA I still had to do some pink crafting for Pinkmas! I did a little every night.

While in CA I saw the adorable shop Sugarfina and they had bubble gum trees in Tiffany blue in the window. So I stole their idea and did mine in pink!

It is an easy project-- just need a pointy cone from Michael's or Hobby Lobby a glue gun and about 160 large pink gum balls! I got the packets of gum balls at Target. They are pink but with some iridescence. Start at the bottom and glue each ball to the Styrofoam cone.
I guess it took me an hour or so to glue them all on. I did it in spurts as I felt able to get up out of bed. Pink Boy bought be a heavy duty glue gun at Home Depot not long ago and it is sooo nice. I use a glue gun often and better to have a sturdy one that heats quickly.
I bet this will last a few years if I store it in a dry place.
I'm so looking forward to decorating for the holiday this year.

Chanel Barbie

Barbie has the life doesn't she? I often wish I could morph into her for the clothing alone. Love the Jackie Kennedy style pink suit. I played with my Barbies till I was in high school I think!
I'd love to find this one.

More from Rodger's Nursery in CA

Part two of my fun morning wandering around Rodger's Nursery of Newport Beach. It sure made the holidays seem real. I also loved all the white hydrageas they had . If I lived there I would buy them.
So many things to look at it took me awhile.

By the time I left at about 10:30 a.m. the parking lot was full of holiday shoppers. I got there at 9:00.
I always like to add new things to my holiday decor every year to keep it fresh. Sure had a lot of creative ideas at Rodger's.

Rodgers Nursery Newport Beach CA

 An entire Radko room!

I was in CA last week and found Rodger's Nursery in Newport Beach. They have been around for a long time and every Christmas do rooms and rooms of ornaments, books, table top and trees for the holidays.
I think they have more Radko ornaments than the merchandise mart! And he is going to be there for personal appearance.
It took me an hour or so to walk through it all.
I only bought a few small things since I would have to tote them home via plane. Every tree had a theme( you know I loved that!) and the ornaments in baskets below.  They had a lot of Caspari place mats, wrap and gift tags and some food gifts as well. Stay tuned for part two of the visit.

Is Ted Baker on your wish list?

I've recently discovered the London designer Ted Baker. While I was in Costa Mesa last week I saw his line in Norsdstrom, Bloomingdale's, and in his own shop. His clothing is adorable and his shoes and bags are so clever. I love that a lot of the line is pink or black. The little jelly shoes with the bow are soooo cute!
Check out the web site and maybe Santa will deliver some to you. The second photo from the top are make up totes a great gift!

Marie Antoinette's birthday

 Cake Opera cake

Happy Birthday to the last Queen of France born this day 1755. All these years later we still talk about her, make cakes in her honor, cookies that resemble her and lingerie that would delight her! Take a moment and think of Marie Antoinette today.

Herman and Lily say BOO

The treaters were many and some were scared. The fog was rolling over the path and the music was blaring spooky sounds and songs.
Many of the kids didnt know the Munsters! Are we that old? Until the rain and wind hit at 8:15 we had a great time.
Sydney-Marie was a spider and Lola was a vampireAKA Eddie Munster.
