Laduree and pearls surprise!!

My blogger friend Grace from Pink in the City blog sent me this wonderful Laduree box filled with tasty pastel macaron. Merci Grace J'adore

She thought of me when she saw the pink box ( my favorite shade too blush pink!) with pearls. I am absolutely a pearl kind of girl. So for fun I got out my Mikimoto pink pearls to photograph next to the box!

Her blog is listed below and she shares more stunning photos of Laduree's tie in collection with pearl maker Mikimoto .

Meet Armand...

Meet our new addition!
A male Persian a shaded silver 10 months old.

He went through a rough patch with his first owner and we have adopted him. I named him after the character Armand Gamache of the Louise Penny mystery novels that I love so much.

He comes from a wonderful Persian breeder near me. Her  cattery is called Alchemist Persians
http://www.alchemistpersians.com/

This makes 4 cats and 2 dogs plus my birds a full house!
As his coat comes back in and we keep his face clean he will be even more handsome.
Thank goodness for responsible breeders like Alchemist or cats in not ideal homes would be stuck.
This little guy purrs and purrs and is so laid back. So far we are keeping him in closet /master bath area till he feels secure and we will introduce him  to the other cats and dogs.

Garden pleasures

We work so much in our garden.
Always seems there are things to plant, or pull,or trim. Leaves to clean up, plants that need thinning the list goes on. And then there is the payoff the big bloom of peonies in May, the Yoshino cherry tree in April in bloom, the sweet fragrance of many flowers, the quiet water sound of the zen pond.
Today after a lot of work we had time to just sit and relax and enjoy the new planter Pink Boy bought me.
I put a trailing pink petunia in it.
And the last photo is of some stock I got at the grocery smells divine and will be on my bedside table.
Hard work does pay off at least in a garden!

Lilac time

Oh joy Lilac time is here!!
My life would be so boring without flowers. I need flowers not only for scent but just to enjoy their beauty and as a reminder how lovely life is if we take the time to slow down and look.
I love the scent of lilacs (and white wisteria, peonies, sweet peas, ...) I am lucky that I have planted about 5 lilacs and all are doing quite well. One is huge and needs a good trim.
I always put flowers by the bedside I love falling asleep with the scents.
I also have a fun book to read soon.
Now that most of our planting is completed I hope to have some free time to read and sit in the garden.

YSL cosmetics

I saw this pink YSL compact on a beauty blog awhile ago. It is part of  the Spring 2015 couture collection.
I ran to my local Nordstrom and requested this.
They knew nothing about it were not trained on it nor had they seen it!
Yikes! I looked on line --not part of spring line in USA.
So then I went on Harrods web site and sure enough there it was and only in Europe/UK. i ordered one from Harrods and it came in 5 days wrapped so nicely in a black Harrods box inside a brown Harrods mailing box.
Had to have that pink compact--inside is a blurring cream goes on so smoothly and slightly pink great for around nose and eyes for fine lines.
I also bought YSL Lovely doll it is a lip color and a blush in one! That is available here in USA.
Such pretty packaging on YSL products.I adore pretty packaging.

Pink redbud tree

My pink red bud tree is doing so well growing and blooming every spring. It is only a few years old and I had a hard time finding a pink one. Next to it is a crab apple and they bloom at the same time so pretty all the shades of pink.
One can never have too many pink blooming trees or flowers!

Laduree Easter

Laduree at Easter what a treat.
I must go there some Easter. I will look it up on calendar and see when Easter is late ( like April) so the weather in Paris will be sort of warm and plan my trip for Easter windows and treats.
The variety of eggs is amazing and most look lovely.
I hope someone sells a bunny box on Ebay and I can buy it for my Laduree package collection.

Monogram fun continued...

This type of stuff just thrills me! I love finding new ways to use my monogram. I love to seal letters with sealing wax and I also use the sealing wax seal on packages.
I sent a vector of my MA monogram to a shop in Hong Kong and they made the seal! It is so pretty and exact copy. It took about a month and was about $65.00 but you have it forever.
It would be nice to use on wedding invitations inside the envelope in a creative way.
I put it on some Easter cards I sent and will be curious to see if it arrives unbroken.
I also bought sealing wax that you put into a special sealing wax glue gun (Michael's has this) so much neater than using matches.
