Things I am smitten with..

Just a few fun things that I like or that I am longing for-- some eye candy today.
Dragon napkins from No. 411 in Savannah on my holiday wish list!!

A tea caddy I just got so pretty

Just a few things that caught my eye in last week or so. The clematis on the bottom is Princess Alexandra and seems to be sold out at all the vendors in USA! Maybe I can buy it next year. Pink Boy did some "pruning " of my huge white Henri clematis that I have had for years at the edge of the arbor and it appears to be gone! Men like to cut stuff off too much!!

Merci, thank you for the sweet pea seeds

I love getting mail and I got the best kind of mail yesterday. Some sweet pea seeds from a kind lady in Lithuania Mrs. Erika Jureniene! I guess she reads my blog and recalled how I love sweet peas. It is too hot to plant them now but I will plant then for spring growing next year in April.
Merci, thank you Mrs. Jureniene!!
What a kind thing to do and it made my day!  I  hope you all

White peacocks

Darling, if I win the lottery I would buy an estate in Santa Barbara and have white peacocks roaming about. Also, white swans for the pond( there would be a pond) and masses of white flowers in all the flower beds.
It is fun to pretend sometimes.

The grass is finally greener in my back garden

Well, we finally have green grass. We had our tiny area of lawn sodded so many times in last 16 years and it never looks good for very long. So finally I said lets do fake grass I never thought I would have fake grass but after mud and patchy grass I gave up.  It is not hard to do just time consuming and need lots of sharp razor blades to cut the grass up.
Pink Boy did a great job! As you can see in photo two my cleome are still in bloom lots of hummingbirds are in the garden all day long going to feeders and flowers.

Frippery

I love old fashioned words like frippery, lolly gaggle, pox, etc etc I could go on. Just a few images of what I would term lovely frippery. The bracelet is Chanel photo by Chanel.  So chic. The big ribbon work tassel or perhaps it is a purse is sooo fun!
It has been so hot here I hate extremes in temperature. I actually do not feel well when it is really hot or cold. So I have neglected the blog lately also my world is a bit boring at the moment! No trips planned, no parties to attend, no projects. I need projects to be happy!

Fleurs

I love this time in the garden many things in bloom and my cleome ( spider flower) has sort of taken over a bit this year. The hummingbirds love it. I see a drift of pink and  white and to me that is so pleasing.
Hope your garden is making you happy and as always,

Sparkly garden

Pink Boy just added this pretty chandelier to our patio area in the garden.  I can't wait to use it. We could also put real candles in it too. I have lots of votive candles around the garden hanging from trees and on walls of patio area but having the chandelier now will really be pretty. Hanging in front of the wall mirror will make it even more fairy like!!
He already put twinkie lights around the fence and over a few arbors.
