Here it is the end of 2016

The swan is sort of my guardian angel it is above my front door.

Swan protection is the best-- in reality they are very protective of people they know and of their own babies.

So I am looking forward to 2017 as a good , a healthy year, a happy year.

Hope 2017 will be good for us all.

Karen Sugarman necklace one of a kind jewelry
Pink Boy gave me this one of a kind Karen Sugarman necklace with a vintage scent vial ( probably from old chatlaine) with pink pearls. Her creations are so unique and pretty. See link below.

Armand says, " Why is Pinkmas over? Does this mean no more gifts for me?"

Lovely memories with friends are the best part of the holidays

Pinkmas was so nice this year -not too cold, not too hectic.
To the large tree I added more swan ornaments like one below a very fluffy swan.
I also added more Eiffel Towers mainly pink ones--those are hard to find.

A dear friend gave me a ballerina snow globe to add to my snow globe collection. I want to live in it so pretty the snow swirls so slowly. Magical.

Pinkmas is almost here!!

SS

Pinkmas is almost here!
I have a nasty cold.
I'm lying in bed instead of wrapping gifts and baking or looking at twinkie lights. Yuck
We are all waiting for Santa-- will he bring more swan things? What will kittens get? I bet I know!!
Doggies like gifts too. They know how to open their gifts by themselves.
Pink Boy has a few packages under the tree--we have a no shake, no touch rule.
I added more ribbon and pearls to big swan tree this year and more glass Eiffel Tower ornaments--the tree is primarily Paris themed with swans and peonies and some ballet ornaments.

London's Peggy Porschen magical Christmas Creations

Peggy Porschen has many books out and also an academy for learning art of cake decorating and baking.
Her Christmas Collection 2016 is just so pretty. I wish I could go to London and visit her shop.
I think this year is the prettiest cookies and cakes that she has created so far for the holiday.
If I get to London in 217 I plan on visiting her shop.

Nutcrackers stand guard

Nutcrackers are busy!

They stand guard over the gifts and sweets and other treats.
Some of my nutcrackers are custom from a  lady on Etsy.
I love the Nucracker Ballet Nutcracker.
I found him last year. He is head of the troup.
Always something going on during Pinkmas!

Cats love the big swan treee

 Armand
Snowflake Marie Mouser
Swan Tree is the place to be!!

My cats love sitting under the big swan tree!
They take turns under it.
None of the cats bother the tree or any of the other trees.
They just seem to enjoy the lights and feeling cozy under it.

C'est Noel...

The Marie Antoinette tree is up in the master bedroom with a new addition this year.
I now have a wonderful soft doll head of Marie Antoinette made by the wonderful doll artist Sharon Mitchell of New Zealand.
Marie has earrings, and a beauty mark and powdered hair so chic!
I've added a few new ornaments to the tree as well all things that MA was interested in.
More Pinkmas pictures coming we are finally finished decorating

Ghost of Marie Antoinette and her executioner

Ghost of Versailles

Pink Boy enjoys dressing up with me for Halloween every year. This year we were dearly departed Marie Antoinette and her executioner.
He seemed to enjoy his role a little too much. Hope that no additional life insurance has been taken out on me recently.
We had the fog, the screeching raven, the spooky music, bones and bloody body parts scattered around the path to the door.
Several smaller children wouldn't come up the path.
We always get about 250-300 treaters and with such a warm night this year we went through all our candy 11 huge bags!
It was fun.
Marie would have been happy with all the love and attention of her subjects!

French desk for the library

Fall is finally here and I love it.
Summer this year was brutal. It was so hot 90 plus days over 90!! I stayed inside a lot. too hot in the evenings to sit out!
Anyway, I love my library with the build in bookshelves and cabinets but never had a desk there. I found this one on an on line auction and won it. We drove down to Sea Island last Saturday to pick it up.
I can't find any of my fall decorations I have looked all over for the glass pumpkins I had last year and now I just gave up. The only decorations I have are on the mantle. a few little real white pumpkins and lights. Yawn!

Highlands NC

 Burt Farm Cashiers show house

Cashiers show House  Burt Farm
Chocolate mousse in cream anglaise sauce
 Cute Highlands shop-Oakleaf

I've wanted to visit Highlands and Cashiers for a long time. It is only 3 and a half hour drive. We went up for a short visit to see the Cashiers showhouse at Burt Farm. It was lovely and large.
Dinner at Madison restaurant at Old Edwards Inn was very nice--  I loved the cream of onion soup and the dessert!
It was about 15 degrees cooler up there a welcome break from the heat here.  Hydrangeas were in full bloom all around town.
Can't wait to go back maybe in fall--that would be pretty. We saw Christmas tree farms too in Cashiers which is so close to Highlands.
Don't miss the chance to see the area if you are ever near it stunning views and fresh air.
Have a Pink day!
