Show and Tell Friday Fabric that I love

Dining room chairs, screen, parson chairs, slipper chair all done in same fabric
I had this screen made not very expensive to do When I find a fabric I love I use it all over! This is extra seating for 4 when I entertain Birds are so fun My passion for peonies includes their images too

Join Cindy at My Romantic Home hosting Show and Tell Friday

This is the fabric I chose for all my dining room chairs and table skirts. I love all the items shown in the fabric and it goes well with the red lacquer walls in my dining room.

It is fun to look at this colorful fabric daily and even at Christmas it blends well with all my holiday decorations.

The weather is so mild and the flowers are just bursting open all around my house I can't bear to be inside on days like this. I had some planting to do so why not make it fun?!
Pink pentas and some other little annuals to fill in color areas will not take too long to plant.

In meantime I made a pot of soothing jasmine tea and some strawberry tarts found their way into the house. We had some leftover bunny cookies too--someone bit the ears off before I took the photos! Hmm

Peonies are always at hand

I can't be without peonies for very long. So in winter I resort to a splurge now and then at the florist or sometimes Fresh Market has pretty ones flown in from some warm country.

I have bouquets in a few spots so I always see my pink peonies around the house. The little peony in a vase on my sink greets me each day.I found a use for my christening cup--it is now my tooth cup.

Most of them I buy bare root from Swenson's Nursery, Song Sparrow and White Flower Farm nurseries.I will post real blossoms in the spring.

My pink peony above in the header is one I grow. My big problem is not growing them but in labeling them. Everything I use wears away and I forget what the names are!! It truly is a pink day when my peonies are in bloom.

Have a PINK day!
