Seasonal Sundays at the Tablescaper

My garden is almost at the point where the peonies are about to burst open with the iris and roses joining in the show. We dine outside every chance we can.

This table setting is so "me" so pink and green and feminine. I brought out some fun table top items little vegetables and my dear Miss Tutu bunny. She got into some mischief.

Happy Easter to everyone! Here is our primarily pink and green table for just the two of us this year. A quiet Easter lunch in the garden. We are sitting in front of the kolkwitzia bush also called beauty bush. It is not very common around here it produces pale pink blooms in April.

White Wednesday and white peonies

Can she tell us the secrets?

So beautiful and mystical are the blooms of a peony

What secrets lie within the folds and ruffles?

A glimpse of heaven perhaps?

It is White Wednesday again and here is the link:

http://www.fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com/

This is the time of year that I live for-- all the hard work pays off in blossoms
The opening of the peonies is still so mystical to me

I love white. Pink is tops to me of course, but white is great . I thought you might enjoy a peek at my peonies they just popped open this week. Not all of them, just the white ones.

Easter keeps me busy decorating

Sideboard in dining room

Isn't Easter fun!? I love to decorate the entire house with bunnies and eggs. All items are full of happy memories. I am going to try to make sugar panorama eggs this year. I cant find any and I can't find anyone in Atlanta area with classes so I will try on my own. I hope the Easter bunny is looking at me and can send some Easter magic and creativity to me in my attempts.

Happy Pink Saturday thanks for stopping by please visit other blogs at Beverly's:

April showers bring May flowers and we have had many showers. I keep going outside to check all my peony and iris plants and the buds are fat and still growing. Thank God for the April showers. Here is my door decoration for April. I switch it out to an Easter door right before Easter. The umbrella is an old one from Estee Lauder it has a woman with red hair on it. I carried it for years. It was a give away. I had to cheat and use silk flowers since real ones would wilt so quickly. These pink peonies give a nice soft feeling and I hope a welcoming touch. Growing over the doorway are pink roses and clematis.

Tablescape Thursday is here We are dining outside today.

Please join Susan at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ for more table scapes

I love creating spring tables! I have a lot of spring items and bunnies for the table. Tonight I set the table outside again in the soft evening light. Things are just beginning to open in the garden, the fish are fat and swimming about. The early plants like candy tuft and baptista are in bloom. The clematis is shooting up.

Pink Boy likes to dine outside especially now when the bugs are not around. I have actually considered getting yards of netting and hanging it over the patio area. The ceiling fan helps push the bugs away.

I baked a bunny cake but didn't have time to frost it. So you are seeing a before shot of it. I use a pound cake recipe because it makes up nicer with a firm cake. We are not going to eat it. I put it in dining room for display. I dressed her up with an organza ribbon and Easter straw

I have a new love--ornamental oregano-- see it in the cabbage bowl as the centerpiece? Just bought it today They said it will last about two weeks then it dries green and purple perfect and I will save it and use it in my tiny Christmas tree with my dried flowers.

The plates are new from Boxwoods in Buckhead very inexpensive. The tureens and little pink fluted bowls are from Home Goods.

Carriages

I added it to my bracelet for a fun charm
My tiny carriage that I will use as a charm
Kate's rainy day carriage otherwise she will go by car Spit spot polish and shine! A real pumpkin coach for hire
Another pretty carriage for hire in the United Kingdom How I would love to own this work of silver art Pink Boy got a new ride- -his new carriage is white (I like white) and pretty zippy and oh so clean and smells so new. We do tend to focus on our carriages, non? I seem to be running into so many carriages lately. Transportation is on every one's mind with high gas prices.

And with a Royal Wedding coming up everyone is amazed that Kate chooses to go to the church via automobile rather than the glass carriage. I hear it can make you sick --all the swaying perhaps this is why she opted out? If it rains she will use the glass carriage. Wouldn't it be lovely to be conveyed from one spot to another in a real carriage?!

I went to the carriage museum in Vienna years ago. So pretty. In the Marie Antoinette movie I loved the peek we got inside her carriages. I wonder if people back in the carriage days said that new carriages had a new carriage smell!! I am sure it was a bumpy and not altogether pleasant ride back then especially over cobblestones. I have been on carriage rides and there is a lot of jostling going on! I had to buy the cute little carriage key ring. I may use the tiny carriage on a bracelet as a charm.
