Pearl skirt

The skirt is a recent Zara one and the shoes are Chanel. Images from Pintrest. I am obsessed with pearls in just about any form and the skirt is calling my name. I never shop at Zara so I missed the skirt may try to buy it via Ebay. The shoes are out of my price range but fun to look

Vintage jewelry collecting

Bracelets are so fun. I love finding vintage ones on EBay or Etsy and adding them to my collection. I especially love one of my newest ones because it has pink pearls and rhinestones.  I keep all the ones I wear the most on my vanity either in a cup or in this pretty powder box. I am not much of a necklace person earrings and bracelets are my favorites. I think the old pieces are overall much better in construction.

What Marie Antoinette would want for Christmas?

What would Marie Antoinette want for Christmas? My tree in our master bedroom is an homage to her. I put ornaments on that reflect her likes and interests. So in keeping with that idea, this year, I changed a bit what I have placed underneath it. I added things that she would most likely have had in her private rooms at Versailles or at Petit Trianon.

In her time she may have wished for jewels or perhaps an animal for the little farm of hers. Or large trees for the gardens. Gift giving at Christmas was not really big in her era. Back then it was more of a religious holiday with Mass and prayers and wonderful music and something good for dinner.Maybe she wanted a new harp or a new sleigh for snow sledding? 

If you peek under the tree you will find Sevres porcelain objects, a fan with her monogram on it, a nosegay from a grand ball, and a pinkish clock for her mantel.

White for Pinkmas

Even though I am totally into pink I also love white. Love doing all white pearls and swans on the mantel in master bedroom and lots of white pearls and white lights on one in formal living room.I added the white feathered wings to the master bedroom this year.

My Marie Antoinette tree is also all white with some pink and silver and the big swan in the sleigh that holds gifts by my huge swan tree is also a touch of white. White makes everything pop and feel light and fresh,

Found these lovelies on First Dibbs! I just adore pearls especially pearl bracelets. The bracelet is Cartier. I have a bee pin ( Joan Rivers) very cute this one is all gold and I am sure well made. I love older pieces they seem to have more substance to them somehow.Both are classics.

Pearl dreams

Pearls are a favorite fake or real, white, black, pink, or gold I love them all. I saw this Chanel cuff on line--isn't it lovely? I will dream about that for a long time. I love colored gemstones too but something about pearls is just so classic and clean.

My birthday and anniversary are coming up maybe Pink Boy will surprise me with pearls?
