A dream come true for Christmas

I am pinching myself. What a dream come true!

Not sure of the pattern-- does anyone recognize it? Joining in on:

Table Top Tuesday

One of my dreams came true when I visited Madison, Georgia last Sunday. Not only did the town charm me and the shops entice me but we found my dream of a silver tea service in a local shop!
I have long dreamt of owning one and either find them too expensive, too damaged, or just ugly. This one is in excellent condition and has a pleasing shape and a lovely tray! I really lucked out.
Pink Boy saw that I was coveting it and said, "Merry Pinkmas a bit early." and he bought it for me! I polished it up a bit more but it is really dreamy. I am sure we will enjoy it for years to come.

A new fan for me

This is the new fan that is on its way to me! Made with my monogram by the talented Vivien at this link: http://www.candyviolet.com/ it should arrive any day now and I will put it under the new Marie Antoinette tree I just made. I will post a photo of that new tree soon. I am very happy with the way it came out.

Pink Boy got this for me for Christmas. I will treasure it forever.

Raggery my childhood friend

When I was about 5 my elderly neighbor lady made me a rag doll. I named her Raggery and this doll has been with me ever since, she went to college with me and into our first apartment.

I wanted to pack her in my suitcase for our honeymoon but Pink Boy said she could not come along! hummh She got a new dress and new panties a few years ago. I just love her but she is now too old to wash I am told. I spiffed her up as best as I could.

The Lennon Sister (remember them!!) were on the Today Show a few weeks ago showing their dolls they sell on QVC--also rag dolls that look homemade. Their mom made theirs for them for Christmas one year. I couldn't believe how similar they are to Raggery. Perhaps the doll pattern was a popular one at the time or in a woman's magazine?

My friend's 4 year old daughter is getting one of the Lennon Sister's rag dolls for Christmas from me this year. I hope she has as much fun with her as I have had with Raggery. Raggery has always worn pink . She is one of my cherished childhood treasures.

Have a PINK day!
