I love fall clothing and this fall there is a lot of new/old looks to love. Dots and hounds tooth, black and white, Chanel chic and a touch of vinyl all are part of fall trends.

You don't have to do it all like Lady Gaga just a touch of the trend is perfect some houndstooth shoes with a black skirt or polka dot gloves.

Lady Gaga wears hounds tooth head to toe to make a big statement-- mere mortals like you and I must wear it in small accent pieces. She lives her life in a big pink way.
Chanel pumps covered in pearls are a delight-- have not found anyone who carries them and they aren't on Chanel web site either? Do they really exist? Take a bit of this and a few dots of that and be right on trend.

I am obsessed with Karl Lagerfeld--his talent, his homes, his remaking of The House of Chanel, his own personal style. He is a creative genius and must have an incredible work ethic and stamina to oversee so many creative ventures and design so many collections.

His newest line of clothing, designed for Impulse, comes out August 31 at Macy's . I like several of the items and they are affordable. He feels anyone can be well dressed you do not have to be wealthy to have beautiful clothing.

I am going to order a few items for fall. How about you?

A belated birthday to Mademoiselle Chanel she was born 128 years ago on August 19th. Karl Lagerfeld is carrying on the Chanel image, style and cachet that was Coco herself. The LBD, pearls, the boxy jacket, Chanel No.5 she created them all.

Happy Pink Saturday!

Travel back in time to the 18th century French court. The colors and laces and ribbons were amazing. Dressing was an art and an indication of social position.I loved all the details and the drama of court dressing. The hand fans, masks for grand balls, hair ornaments and matching shoes were all carefully thought out.

Meet Miss Snowflake- Pink and white cat

Snowflake came to live with us yesterday. She came from Good Mews a no-kill cat shelter in Marietta, Ga. She is 2 with two different colored eyes- blue and green. She is so happy purring non-stop It is like she knows this is her new forever home. I think Miss Moss is lonely so Snowflake will be a new pal.

She is playful, sweet natured, healthy and seems to be very happy here. I am introducing her slowly to the other fur babies. I love that she is pink and white!

Paris Dinner Party!

This would be my dream dinner party. In Paris, bien sur, in a beautiful old building with wonderful detailing in the walls and a lovely wrought iron balcony. Modern touches in the chairs and a touch of PINK.

What fun my guests and I would have, eating something yummy and not too heavy. Drinking some pink champagne and feeling so lucky to be alive and dining in Paris!

Pink cat collars for Miss Moss and friend

I sew them over on the ends and add snaps after measuring her neck

Miss Moss is the best kitty. She loves to wear her pretty bows and the newer collars I have made from upholstery trims. She knows she is quite lovely in them and seems happy to wear them. She loves snuggling in her bassinet.

Soon she will have a new pal to snuggle with. Charlotte seems a bit lonely and the dogs ignore her so we want her to have a friend.

We are adding another cat to our happy pink home. Snowflake will be coming home soon from Good Mews no kill cat shelter here in Marietta. What a wonderful thing to find a sweet cat to keep Miss Moss company. I will post some photos soon. We will have to introduce them slowly and make sure everyone is safe and happy. Good Mews is a wonderful organization for adopting a new fur baby. They take excellent care of the cats and kittens and have a good screening process. I can't wait to introduce you to Snowflake.
