Pink iris and tea cup fun

I think a chubby bird knocked this off my plant. It was in perfect shape. I didn't want to toss the iris so here it is in a demi tasse cup.

Pink iris

I see the tips of iris sprouting up in my cold garden. I always get so excited this time of year as I monitor the progress of all my beloved plants. My pink iris are a special source of joy. I was so happy about 15 years ago when they came out with the first pink ones. I believe first one was Beverly Sills (after the opera singer) and now there are many more --all beautiful and a nice jolt of pink in the garden borders.

I like my garden to be mainly white with pink and a tiny bit of lavender for accent. It is soothing that way and seems cooler and when our Southern summer gets to be 90 plus I am glad it seems cooler.

Have a PINK day!
