Pink Buche de Noel

I actually squealed when I saw this cake! Sooooo Moi

Baking for Pinkmas!

I am going to try to make a buche de Noel cake I did make them in the past but this one that I saw on Bakingdom.com has captured my heart. So pink, so festive, so snowy!! I have to give it a shot. I even want to try the marzipan mushrooms and holly leaves.
I think I will either do a white sponge cake or a lemon flavored sponge with lemon curd filling perhaps or white with  the lemon curd filling. My desserts have to fit into my Pinkmas theme . If Marie Antoinette were here today she would want to eat this cake.
Does anyone have a tips to share on making this type of cake?

  5. How exquisitely beautiful! I just told another blogger that Marie Antoinette would have had her as artiste-in-residence, for her lovely Christmas Tree.

I hope you DO make it, and post the pictures---we used to do the standard chocolate ones, with meringue mushrooms, but this is simply lovely. I think it must taste of flowers and fraises de bois, along with a sprinkle of magic.

  6. Hello Pink Lady, Thanks for such a lovely blog. I wanted to let you know that the house of
Dior has a line of cosmetics out this spring called Traianon. They will also be renovating the Queens house at Hamlet. It has been closed for 30 years. See Jan. Vogue. May you and your Husband have a Merry Pinkmas.
