Swans for Pinkmas

Swan Love
If you have been reading my blog for any length of time you know of my swan obsession. I am always on the lookout for cute swan items whatever they may be.

I found all these treasures on Ebay . The glittery swan ornament I found in a local shop. It is a swan sleigh--oh how I wish I could make it people sized and sit it in and dash through the snow( if we had snow) it would be so fun!!

Two of my trees have swans on them the big tree is mainly swans, some ballet items, and a few pretty ornaments, It also has the swan topper on it. And my smaller white Marie Antoinette tree in master bedroom has these swan sleighs and little white swans on it. It just makes the holiday even more fun to scout out swan things I can use each year.

Peace

In this hectic holiday madness seek some peace for yourself. Stop and breathe, look around and enjoy the simple things, have you really looked at your tree or your neighbor's twinkie lights? Enjoy them. Sometimes we rush around and miss what we should be enjoying. 
Swans always bring me to a peaceful state, looking at them, or feeding them or just enjoying a photo helps me find my serenity.

Reindeer games...

Look who has made a stop at my home!These elegant reindeer have decided they want to stay a bit and pull the antique child's sleigh I have in the front hall. 

Since they love their pink ribbon and glittery snow they are a perfect addition..

I have never seen such elegant reindeer --these are light maybe made of papier mache with pieces of thin curled birch and other woods. I love them.

Something new for the tree

An ornament I made for tree this year of lace and ribbons, leftover silk from draperies. Always fun to add new holiday decor to freshen things up

I hate to sew so I usually make things using glue.

This tussie went on my biggest tree the swan tree.

Glittery pink nutcracker

Let the baking begin

Tis the season for me to bake pink treats for friends and neighbors. I love to bake and  I love to share it.After all I do not want to be the only chubby person around!

Cookies , buche de Noel, meringues, fruitcake are all on my baking list this year. I will keep you posted on all the pink baking.
