Merci, thank you for the sweet pea seeds

I love getting mail and I got the best kind of mail yesterday. Some sweet pea seeds from a kind lady in Lithuania Mrs. Erika Jureniene! I guess she reads my blog and recalled how I love sweet peas. It is too hot to plant them now but I will plant then for spring growing next year in April.
Merci, thank you Mrs. Jureniene!!
What a kind thing to do and it made my day!  I  hope you all

Poesy

A poesy for you dear reader. I feel such joy when I pick flowers I have grown in my own garden. I have been extremely lucky growing sweet peas and salvia and cleome here in the hot, humid South. I love to use the salvia ( it is an annual Coral Nymph it reseeds) as a filler in arrangements.
Just a petit merci for reading my blog

Just added some new tea cups and another cake plate to my collection.

I just got these sweet tea cups at a local antiques shop-High Cottage in Marietta.

I love cake plates and use them a lot for creating height in a table scape, showing things off on the sideboard and for serving of course.

I love these sweet peas from Botanical Interests--they have a great web site. I plant sweet peas every year and I also bought these perennial ones and they do come back year after year.

Too hot... sweet peas to the rescue!

The weather here in Georgia has been very, very hot. Summers seem hotter than they were years ago. I like warm weather but once it hits 90 I sort of melt. I stay in.

I miss sitting in garden so at night I go out before dark and just relax a bit under arbor on the patio.

It is amazing that I still have so many sweet peas blooming in this heat!! I cut some for my night table- nothing like sweet peas to perk a person up! I got the MA Petit Trianon mug at Versailles.

Have a PINK day!
