So now you can appreciate that this is not a liberal, intellectual and diverse place like Paris.Vagabondehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10774109692564954568noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1286780099330684568.post-58381171506002819622011-06-13T14:56:26.060-07:002011-06-13T14:56:26.060-07:00I think that liking Paris as you do you must under...I think that liking Paris as you do you must understand how hard it is for me who was brought up in Paris. I was there a couple of weeks ago, and have to say that I did visit my mother, twice a year, for decades (may be close to 52 trips) but I still miss it a lot. The culture is the one I know and the language too. No one around me speaks French. It’s not so much that I miss it, is that it is home and it’s hard to live in the Deep South so far away.Vagabondehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10774109692564954568noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1286780099330684568.post-69697760336547737542011-06-13T04:05:27.306-07:002011-06-13T04:05:27.306-07:00About now just having a week at home would be fun ...About now just having a week at home would be fun but PARIS...that would be heaven! You are very right Paris is a hard ...Morning Marie,
You are very right Paris is a hard place to forget, there are so many lovely things about it.
The whole way of life their is so different, and so relaxed and enjoyable. Course, it has been almost 40 yrs. since I was there, but I do remember so much about it, although it was a whirl wind trip of just 3 days over the Memorial Day holiday I believe it was, and I was only 20 yrs. old at the time.

Isn't it just so astounding to see landmarks like the Eifel tower and the Arc de Triumph that you have seen in your history books as a child growing up, and
then to actually see it in person,.... just sort of takes your breathe away! and that traffic circle around the Arc......Oh My, we found it to be rather frightening!! lol
So we parked our car and walked everywhere we
went until we left. Much safer!! lol

Enjoy those Parisian thoughts!!
Blessings, NellieNellie's Cozy Placehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14619797669030115088noreply@blogger.com
