Transporting yourself to Versailles via Paris train system
Today's post on Treasure for your Pleasure blog all about Marie Antoinette,Versailles etc, is a wonderful announcement about the train from Paris to Versailles. The cars are reproductions of some of the rooms in the Chateau of Versailles. The outsides look the same but inside you are transported into Versailles as you ride along. I think it is a wonderful idea and they have also made the signage easier--I always ask to make sure I am on the right line-- by inserting word Chateau into the sign.

I love my over the top pink bedroom. Today was a rare day for me not too many errands or appointments I had time to sit in my soothing room and read and look out at my garden. That is such a treat for me.
I hope you have time to sit and relax and do something you enjoy this weekend.
The garden tour continues-- these are the last I will post. I took about 200 that day! 11 different gardens all wonderful in their own way. One rather famous one, Ryan Gainey's is a wonderful maze of rooms and it always has a very emotional response from me every time I see it. It changes some, as all gardens do, but it is always a magical experience. It is not the most tidy or formal of spaces but it is a bit Southern Gothic in feel and I mean that as a complement. I love the overgrown greenhouse with the old glass. His family has gardened on the property for several generations now.Mr. Gainey is a renowned garden designer, lecturer and fixture on the Atlanta garden scene.
Just a few shots of the tour gardens yesterday. We go every year to the Atlanta Botanical Garden's Gardens for Connoisseurs tour it never disappoints. Always some show stoppers and various sizes of gardens. They were all so lovely this year hard to choose a favorite.
Ellen had the two adorable British girls on again yesterday and Nicki Minaj. If you recall Sophia Grace became a You Tube sensation singing one of Nicki Minaj's songs. Ellen brought them to be on her show and they are so popular they have come back several times. Little Sophia Grace can really sing and dance and she is always so bubbly. They wear tutus and tiaras and love Target!
Rosie is on the left Sophia Grace on right. They adore Nicki Minaj and Ellen asked Nicki to give the girls some advice.
Nicki's advice was," Pink is your color. Pink is always with you." She had also told them before not to grow up too fast.

I had the wire planter( from Home Goods last spring) and was inspired by one I saw on the Madison Tour of Homes
First I lined the tiered baskets with moss, then some paper towel to keep the soil from falling out.
Pink Boy helped me plant all the herbs.
I thought it would be cute to put mint and pink calibrachoa on the top tier.
When fall comes I will move my herb garden inside to the kitchen counter. Right now it is under our patio arbor so it gets just filtered sun. I use herbs a lot in cooking and I planted them in with some of the flowers in the beds and in the potager garden in the back.
I planted curry, rosemary, French tarragon, varigated basil, cat mint, thyme, tricolor sage and oregano.
I'm just a girl from the South with an eye for pink and for pretty homes and gardens. I love to travel and I love France. I have lots of hobbies and love meeting new people. I love art, pastry making, ballet, reading, gardening, dancing and being with friends and with my dogs, cat and pink parakeets.
